The Team

People most often think the most important part of our race program is the "Racecar" or "Driver". Actually its not, it is the people that surround the car and driver.

The Fans: Without their support there would be no races to race our racecar. Fans are always stopping by to see our racecar in the pits and they are always welcome. We appreciate their support.

The Sponsors: Their stickers appear on our car. Without funding, the hi-tech parts, and their technical abilities we would also not be able to do this. Please pay special attention to the names of the companies that appear on our car, if the opportunity arises call them for your own performance needs and mention you saw them on our car.

Last, but not least!...

The Team: From the drivers perspective yours truly, "Wild" Bill Devine and I will quote:

"My team is everything to me, they are the ones that do all the work from start to finish, they drive the rig, load and unload the car, work on the car before during and after a race, stay up late looking at data on a work night, spend countless hours trying to figure out how to make our car safer, faster, more consistent, and dependable. I can not say enough about a group of folks that have a thankless job. They do all the work and I get all the credit."

Please feel free to stop by and speak with any of our team members.

Take a moment to read about them and their duties below.

Thanks,

Because of busy commitments, work schedules and family commitments we have several crew members that may switch out from race to race.

Cheryl Devine: Cheryl's been racing for 20 plus years she also carries a huge mechanical and technical background. Cheryl  has been know to be the only crew member on occasion along with just Bill,  they have done this several times over the years.  Cheryl handles and prepares the data recorder before and after a pass, the parachutes, clutch access, fuel, wheelie bars She also puts Bills R3 neck restraint on and straps him before a pass.

Stephen Flanagan: Stephen is an electrical engineer by trade. Steve maintains and interprets all race track data working closely with Tony and David to assure every detail is given the teams full attention. Tuning and clutch calls are made every round based off  Steve's ability to  see the pass thru a keyboard. When it comes to interpreting data Steve is second to none!

Tony Gentile: Tony's credentials speak for themselves, if you don't know who he is...Well lets just say that you should. Tony ran several fast 6 second cars in the late 90s up to the present, owning an automotive repair shop of his own and a crunching schedule forced him to take time away from his passion in turn Bill became the benefactor on his own race car.   Tony and I  have helped each other for  many years but mostly Tony helping Me!  Tony works closely with Stephen on data interpretation and race strategy.

Dave Frenzel: Dave has been racing in all types of motorsports for many years. Dave is like Bills big younger brother,  he has been with him since 2004 and has helped Bill with everything from engine rebuilds on the race car to the tow rig. He can also be found to rotating tires or putting the car on jack as well as staging Bill on the starting line on many occasions.

Brian Birhanzl: Having his own fast cars combined with super mechanical skills has made Brian a great addition to the team! Brian can usually be found under the car between rounds taking the clutch and transmission apart or a cylinder head in order to prepare it for the next journey down the quarter mile.

Dave Hall: Dave has a very long history in performance turbochargers building and design (Bullseye Power). Dave's responsibilities include checking the track conditions, Radios, Computers,  and Wheelie bar adjustment he also handles all  related turbo maintenance and design.

Steve DeAngelis Steve's is responsible for everything mechanical on the car and everyone that physically works on it. Having his own race cars and the ability to fabricate and create a few on his own in his shop makes him invaluable to the team. He also is responsible for putting the car in the lights and getting it pointed in the right direction while maintaining contact on the radio with Bill.

Johnny Gilbert:  Johnny has come aboard this season and is a welcome personality, he owns and operates a diesel  repair and fabrication shop. He also owns a race car of his own. Due to Johnny's background he is the main fabricator/repair crew member for the team while at the track.
